Former Met police chief Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe has called for an urgent review of the UKs cannabis laws. Speaking to Channel 4s Dispatches he said “If I was home secretary, I would have an urgent commission of experts to look at the evidence about what’s happening about cannabis in North America”
A number of high profile cases involving UK medical marijuana have led to increased calls for legalisation with some studies showing 51% supporting it.
